How much does a space ship with m 10^3 kg weigh on Earth's equator?

I know I can consider centripetal force. That said, the Earth's rotational speed is about 464 m/s about the equator. When I use this speed to compute F = (mv^2)/r I get a ridiculous small number like 33.7 N. That seems too small, and I am unsure what it is that I am doing wrong, if anything at all. . . . help?
